Day 1 - David - Boquete After breakfast our representative will pick you up at your Panama City hotel and bring you directly to the domestic airport in order to catch your flight to David. Upon arrival in David you will be transferred to the lovely mountain village of Boquete. |
Day 2 - Bird Watching and Coffee Tour Today you will start into the day with an amazing bird watching tour in a Finca close to the hotel. As Panama is very famous for its abundant fauna, you will for sure have a great chance to see many different highland species. After lunchtime you will visit the shade grown coffee plantations. You will learn how coffee is harvested and processed. |
Day 3 - Horseback Riding to Hot Springs or Quetzal Trail Choose one of the following two options: either adventurous horseback ride to local hot springs or the "Quetzal Trail" which is a 4 hour hike to Barú Volcano National Park. Today it is you choice! |
Day 4 - Boquete - Bocas del Toro, Tranquilo Bay & Zapatilla Cayes Today you will travel overland and by boat from Boquete to Bocas del Toro. Your home for the next 3 nights will be Tranquilo Bay Lodge. Continue to the pristine and beautiful Zapatilla Cays. Because nature and peace are abounding here, this tropical paradise has been protected as national park. It is surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches, colorful coral reefs and lush vegetation. |
Day 5 - Isla Popa After breakfast you will have the opportunity to explore wildlife in the lush forests and mangroves on the breathtaking Popa Island. This location is the perfect spot for bird watching. Then continue to a nice secluded beach, where lunch will be served. Relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding and the pristine beach. Afterwards return to your lodge. |
Day 6 - Punta Valiente Ngobe Bugle Indigenous Reservation Today you will visit the indigenous Ngobe Bugle people that inhabit this land. To get there you will enjoy and exciting open-ocean journey that takes you past the breathtaking cliff face and lush canopy of Punta Valiente, and the dramatic rock formations of the Tigres Island. Punta Valiente forms some of the most spectacular coastlines in Panama, extending for miles into the Caribbean Sea and forming the eastern rim of the archipelago. Then reach the windward beaches of Punta Valiente following an interpretive hike in Cerro Punta Village. These beaches are one of the world's most important nesting grounds for several endangered sea turtles. |
Day 7 - Chocolate Farm Tour - Return to Panama City After your breakfast you will travel by boat 20 minutes in direction of Green Acres Chocolate Farm crossing Dolphin Bay. Take a tour through this beautiful farm. Your hosts will explain to you the process by which cocoa is turned into chocolate. To make this tour perfect you will taste the delicious organic chocolate. After this tasty experience our representative will bring you to Bocas del Toro airstrip for your flight back to Panama City. Finally landed in the capital, you will be transferred to your city hotel. |
