Pearl Islands Sailing Trip
4 Days / 3 Nights

From $835 per person Double Occupancy

Located on the Pacific coast, 35 nautical miles south of Panama City, the Pearl islands archipelago is composed of 90 islands and about 130 islets or keys. The islands were formed by volcanic eruptions offering an extensive wide life, typical rain forest type of flora and fauna. The name Pearl Islands comes from an ancient Indian tribe who used to dive for pearls in these waters.

The best way to explore great nature paradise around the pearl islands is by sailboat or catamaran. The archipelago offers miles of deserted beaches and the only way to reach them is over sea. Most of the Pearl Islands are uninhabited only the island of Contadora – a weekend destination for wealthy Panamanians – has a village and an airstrip.

Shell collectors, sun bathers, fishermen, adventurer and hobby captains will have a great time sailing around the Pearl Islands. Your captain will take you to his favorite spots of the archipelago for you to explore the lush and private islands. The exuberant flora consists of mangroves, bushes and a variety of rare fruit trees. Wild animals such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, deer and hundreds of birds have found a natural shelter in the archipelago. With a bit of luck you will also be able to see dolphins and whales in the Pacific Ocean.

On board of your Pearl Islands Sailboat or Catamaran you will be treated like a king. The captain and – depending on the boat – a stewardess will do everything to make your stay on the sailboat an unforgettable experience. Fresh meals as well as soft drinks, beer, wine and domestic liquors are included during your stay aboard. Sailing through the Pearl Islands will give you the great feeling of freedom and excitement the explorers in the 15th and 16th centuries must have felt. A truly unforgettable vacation awaits you.
