Day 1 Arrival in Panama City
After your arrival to Panama, your local representative will pick you up at the airport and transfer
you to your city hotel. Panama City is the capital and largest city in Panama. It is home to a diverse
blend of cultures and a vast historical sector in the Old City, a district famous for its Spanish fortifications
and several colonial buildings. Panama City is a location you will surely enjoy during your visit to this
gorgeous country!

Day 2 Panama City – San Blas
In the early morning you will be transferred to the domestic airport, where you will take a short flight to
the pristine San Blas Islands in the Caribbean. Here you will stay in a secluded and quiet lodge, where
you will enjoy the beautiful ocean view while balancing in a hammock.

Days 3 – 4 San Blas
Enjoy two free days at the beautiful San Blas Islands. The pristine San Blas Archipelago includes picture perfect
tropical islands with white sand and coconut trees. Depending on whom you ask, the number of
islands varies between 365 and 380, many of them with no people living on them. Less than 60 islands
are home by an Indian tribe, the Kuna. The Kuna is one of the best preserved of all the indigenous cultures
of the Americas. The Kuna people are so determined to protect their heritage that they have maintained
their autonomy since the Spanish first arrived over 500 years ago. The San Blas province has its
own government – the indigenous independent congress – and each island is run by a chief. Tourism is limited to only a few of the islands. But with its turquoise waters, the white sand beaches dotted with
palm trees and thatched‐roof Kuna villages, the San Blas Archipelago is absolutely worth a visit.
At your lodge, tours to uninhabited islands, secluded beaches and Kuna villages are included. Other

Day 5 San Blas – Miraflores Locks ‐ Gamboa
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport where you will take your flight back to Panama City.
Upon arrival you will visit the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal. The busiest hours at the lock s are
from 09:00 ‐ 11:00, so you will be able to see many o f the giant vessels passing the locks. At Miraflores,
the ships get lifted or lowered a total of 18 meters in two distinct steps. You will enjoy the view on
the locks from a sheltered terrace and listen to the interesting explanations of your guide. To complete
the visit to the canal, you will enter the Miraflores Museum and Visitor Center which gives you a good
idea on the construction of the Canal, a true masterpiece of engineering. You will also learn about the
history of the Canal and its significance for Panama and the entire world trade.
After the visit of the Panama Canal you will continue to the heart of the Soberania National Park where
you find your hotel for the next days: Gamboa Rainforest Resort.

Days 6 – 7 Gamboa Rain Forest
Enjoy two free days at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. The resort offers many optional tours to the rainforest, the Chagres River, Gatun Lake and the famous Monkey Island and even to villages of the Embera Indigenous Tribe.

Day 8 Gamboa – Playa Blanca
Enjoy a last free morning at Gamboa. Around noon, you will be transferred from the heart of the Rain
Forest to the beautiful beaches of Playa Blanca. The drive on the Pan-American Highway leads over a few
hills down to the Pacific Coast. In less than 2 hours the nature around you changes completely from a
lush and dense canopy to bright white sand beaches.
