Day 1 Arrival - San Jose
Arrive by air into San Jose. Upon arrival your representative will meet you at the gate and will provide you with a welcome kit on Costa Rica. Transfer to the Grano de Oro for your first night in Costa Rica.
Evening free to relax and enjoy San Jose`s active night life.
Overnight at the Grano de Oro, superior room. Breakfast included.

Day 02 Poas Volcano
As we ascend towards the volcano we stop for a brief explanation on our golden bean, coffee, and then continue our trip through fern, flower and strawberry farms.
At the Poas Volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, and hike on a trail to the beautiful Botos Lagoon. After visiting the volcano, you will start your way down to San Jose.

Day 3 San Jose - Tortuguero
After breakfast, early morning departure for Tortuguero. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park and then a three-hour boat trip to the canals of Tortuguero.
Upon arrival to Manatus Hotel enjoy a welcome cocktail and lunch. The lodge will then schedule a visit to the Turtle Museum and town of Tortuguero.
Afternoon free to relax in the pool or take advantage of the hiking trails.
In the evening, after a delicious meal, you will relax along the canal's edge with a cocktail and enjoy the night sounds of the jungle. Add a turtle tour to see the Leatherback turtles that come in during this season.

Day 4 Tortuguero Canals
During the day enjoy scheduled boat tours to the small canals for wildlife observation. A jungle adventure of a lifetime! Think Amazon, only on a smaller scale. Tortuguero National Park, with its 21,000 hectares of preserved tropical rain forest, provides one of the best opportunities to experience a wide range of tropical wildlife.

Day 5 Arenal
Enjoy a scenic boat ride back to the Caño Blanco Port. Take shuttle transfer to the Arenal area. The flawless silhouette of Arenal Volcano, its loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash are a sight not to be missed by any visitor to Costa Rica.
Afternoon arrival to the Arenal Paraiso Hotel, your home-base for that night.
Enjoy an invigorating spa treatment at their spa or just relax at the natural spring pool.

Day 6 Pacuare Whitewater Rafting - Arenal
Today our adventure starts early morning to reach the Pacuare River for a rafting trip. This river has been officially declared a Wild and Scenic River, and offers some of the finest white water in Latin America, winding deep inside of one of Costa Rica's most impressive primordial rainforests. Breakfast on route and lunch is served along the river. After this tour, our representative will transfer you under shuttle bus basis to the Arenal area.
One of the most active volcanoes of the world, cloud forests, a lake world-famous for windsurfing and an incredibly diverse population of wildlife is what you will find in this area.

Day 7 Monteverde
Morning pickup at the hotel for the scenic lake crossing transfer (boat-car) transfer to Monteverde.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most diverse and rich tropical cloud forests in the New World and home to the resplendent Quetzal and the rare bell bird. Monteverde is not only interesting for the Cloud Forest Reserve’s inhabitants, but also for its founders, the Quakers.

Day 8 Shared Monteverde Cloudforest - Sky Trek
In the morning you will hike through the well marked trails of the Monteverde Cloud forest Reserve. Then enjoy an afternoon adventure at the Sky Trek Zipline & Tram tour. This is a system of seven platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of tree boughs. Zip lines attached from one platform to another will allow you to slide with the use of special equipment. In Sky Tram explore the world famous Cloud Forest of Monteverde in a 5,249 feet ride that would lead you up to Costa Rica Continental Divide.

Day 9 San Jose
Return to San Jose on your shuttle transfer. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure to explore San Jose.
Option: Take a private transfer from Monteverde and stop in the 2 beautiful cities for sighseeing and the best souvenir shopping in Costa Rica.
Grecia: Considered one of the cleanest towns of Latin America, it is home of the only Metal Church in Central America and a national monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. In order to catch a glimpse of local lifestyle we will also visit the central market
area.
Sarchi: Known as the Cradle of Costa Rican Artisans because of its fine workshops. Here we will have time to enjoy the artistic work of the local artisans as they create the famous typical oxcart and you will be able to shop for that special souvenir to take home.

- Clothing: Costa Rica is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in the city of San Jose and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
- We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
- For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
- For the rainforest and the National Parks we recommend hiking boots, a small backpack, water bottle, pocket knife, flashlight, insect repellent, rainwear, and a pair of binoculars to observe animals.
